A Couple of important announcements:
Yesterday, a science permission slip went home about the after school science workshop. The date was printed incorrectly. The CORRECT date of the science fair workshop is Wednesday, January 9th (not 7th). Please return the permissions slips by Wednesday.
In addition, typically, Mrs. Janosco and I send progress reports home mid-marking period to inform you of your child’s current grades. With the holidays falling right in the middle of the 2nd marking period, progress reports were not sent in the craziness of the holidays. There are only two more weeks left in the 2nd marking period, and Mrs. Janosco and I decided to not send progress reports home because of this. That being said, if you have questions about your child’s grades, please feel free to contact us, and we would be more than willing to share them with you. We explain to the students often how to figure out a rough estimate of their grades, and that if they receive mostly A’s and B’s, their report card grade will be A’s and B’s. On the other hand, if most of their grades are D’s or F’s, their report card grade will also be D’s and F’s. In addition, graded work has been consistently sent home. If you haven’t seen any, be sure to ask your child why!
No Homework!
